Here is a comment from my massage client Zach in Mackay. I checked in on him to see how he was doing after he was experiencing heel pain, and back and neck tightness. He gave his permission to share his comment: “Thank you! feeling amazing, riding and back at the gym again, will definitely be booking in again in the near future, p.s. you inspired me, if you can look the way you do at your age, I can keep pursuing my fitness goals and transform my body into what it needs to be
“
These are the comments that make me feel so happy! I love to do what I do. I gave Zach a few positive posture recommendations to help him in his daily activities. These little changes make a huge difference in how we use our bodies. I then did a 90-minute Lomi Lomi massage focussing on his trouble areas and those he didn’t even know he had. I incorporate flowing moves, stretches and focused work to get the body ready to perform in the way it was designed. The fact that he is feeling inspired and working out again with less pain is exciting!
I personally do something every day either bike ride, run, paddle outrigger canoes or kayaks, dog walking… It keeps me feeling alive and vibrant. I’m into my 6th century and still enjoying being active and pain-free.
I can help you do what you love and regain the functionality that you thought you lost.

I am a massage therapist and Gokhale Method® Teacher
I do Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage simply for this reason- "It is the most relaxing massage that I have ever received and in turn, it is what I want to share with others." Lomi Lomi involves long rhythmic strokes as well as deep work relaxing the body, mind and spirit on all levels. I thoroughly love giving this massage.
I am also a Gokhale Method Teacher. This method is based on the Book "8 Steps to a Pain Free Back" by Esther Gokhale. Primal Posture™ and alignment for Pain-Free living.
After discovering this method for myself, I wanted to teach people how they could help themselves when they are off of my table. Many of my clients suffer from chronic or acute pain. It is one thing for me to help people by applying external forces through massage, it is another to help empower them to help themselves lead a pain-free life 24/7.
I suggest starting with massage to loosen and relax the body. This is a great way to help maintain a healthy, relaxed and pain-free body and a calm and peaceful disposition. Once the body is open to more learning and correction, I recommend learning The Gokhale Method® to lengthen strengthen and align the body enabling a pain-free life everyday! It doesn't involve a lot of exercises or gadgets. It incorporates improved movements that you use while sitting, standing, sleeping, bending and walking. I encourage you to look into it further on www.gokhalemethod.com or contact me with any questions.
These two modalities work wonderfully together. One is instant, which is very needed to help us feel ourselves again and relax. Sometimes this is just what is required to get us feeling better quickly and more open to new ideas about how we move. The other is learning how are bodies are meant to move and incorporating this information into our daily lives for the rest of our lives. The Gokhale Method teaches us how to create pain-free movements everyday that become our new habits.
